I was born in Rome, Italy, and since 1982 I have been visiting Dalarna and Djurmo, where my wife and I have a summer house. I started to get interested in photography 50 years ago, wanting to learn more about the technique and means of shooting.  I use my camera as a notebook, where I try to capture situations that attract my interest, in everyday life and during my travels. I don’t particularly like, even if I use it, color photography, it often distracts from the context of the image, but I prefer black and white, with its infinite scale of grays and tones, where I can express myself in a way that is more congenial to me. I am interested in people, landscapes, the architecture of buildings and situations that are apparently invisible but that attracts my eye. Now I live most of the year in Sicily, a very stimulating island for photography of places, people and landscapes.
